NATURAL contemporary REMODEL

BRASS + BALANCE Primary Bath

Our homeowners, long-time residents of Plymouth, MN, have a very busy household and needed an updated bathroom sanctuary to relax and unwind. Facing a growing list of repairs, it was the perfect time for this primary bathroom, complete with 1990’s glass block shower wall, to get a glamorous overhaul. That is exactly what Revival House delivered.

Our client's desire was to have a spa-like space that was upscale and feminine, done in warm, rich tones. The footprint of this bathroom did not change, saving our homeowners a significant amount in major construction costs. The height of one wall was reduced to a half wall between the vanity and toilet capturing much needed natural light pouring in from the window. The spacious double sink vanity was created with Decor cabinetry in Sea Salt, a light, soft, sophisticated paint. Two matching vanity mirrors brighten and balance the bathroom, and the marble back splash and the modern crystal sconces bring luxury and glam.

The shower stall was transformed from dark and cave-like to show-stopping gorgeous. Lovely porcelain slabs from Moderno Porcelain Works line the shower walls for no grout lines and easy cleaning. The 12 x 24" tiles used on the bathroom floor were custom cut into 2" hexagon tiles that line the shower floor as well as the custom lighted shower niches. A glass shower enclosure and top-of-the-line plumbing fixtures, including a rain head shower, will have you looking forward to extra-long relaxing showers at the end of an exhausting day.

The showpiece of this primary bathroom is the graceful, freestanding soaking tub. Truly a bath-takers dream. Clear Alder built-in cabinets and floating shelves stained in Vienna Roast were placed at the end of the beautiful tub, not only to add essential storage and ground the tub area, but also to add some depth of color and visual interest to this special room.

This bathroom remodel is truly inspiring and designed to serve this family for years to come.
